Plateforme PAM, le patrimoine appartient à tout le monde
La Direction régionale des affaires culturelles (DRAC) des Pays de la Loire a lancé le 5 juin 2023 la plateforme PAM (pour "le Patrimoine Appartient à tout le Monde"). Cette plateforme permet à chacun de déposer des photos dont il est l’auteur afin de partager avec le plus grand nombre ce qui relève à ses yeux de notre patrimoine. Cette banque d’images géoréférencées peut être consultée selon une entrée cartographique, iconographique ou thématique.

Look back at the 2018 “Habiter l’eau” forum
Some fifty participants gathered at the 2018 feedback forum of the “Habiter l’eau” (Living at the water's edge) laboratory, held on 18 May in Angers: among them teachers and students, directors and policy officers of urban planning agencies and the Établissement Public Loire, government departments and Mission Val de Loire. Beyond the pooling of results (project design, programming and assessment), the focus was also on identifying recurring themes and highlighting lessons that could be learned.

In order to raise citizens’ awareness of the economic and social significance of European cultural heritage, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union have proclaimed 2018 “European Year of Cultural Heritage”. This year will enable the promotion of heritage as a key part of cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, the showcasing of best practices to ensure conservation and safeguarding of heritage as well as the development of knowledge on the subject among a large audience, in particular children and young people, local communities and people who are rarely exposed to culture.

Artist-in-residence programme at La Colombière 2017
Julie Maquet won this year (the third year of the programme) and set herself up at La Colombière on 7 August, where she'll be until 18 September. Born in 1990, she gained her Diplôme National Supérieur d’Expression plastique (Higher National Diploma in Plastic Arts) from the TALM ANGERS Graduate School of Fine Arts in 2015. Julie Maquet works with volume and sculpture.

Mission Val de Loire announced the release of the second version of this mobile app made on behalf of the Pays de la Loire and Centre-Val de Loire Regions, now available for the entire line and in English.

Mission Val de Loire announced the release of the second version of this mobile app made on behalf of the Pays de la Loire and Centre-Val de Loire Regions, now available for the entire line and in English.

The Gardens in the Loire Valley cultural season is in full swing. April saw the opening of the Chaumont Garden Festival and the unveiling of the Edouard André exhibition in Valençay around the new garden. In May, roses are taking pride of place at Château du Rivau and Chédigny Garden-Village. A whole host of events are planned throughout spring, with "Rendez-vous aux jardins" (Rendezvous in the Gardens) as a high point at the start of June.
