From 23 April to 3 June, Fontevraud Royal Abbey is organising a crowdfunding campaign to find additional financing for its new heritage exhibition space.
This development is set to cost €100,000 in total (not including the exhibition). The Royal Abbey hopes to collect between €20,000 and €50,000. Depending on the level of donations received, these funds could be put towards display lighting, a new look of the premises and even the Abbey's acquisition of exhibition equipment (picture rails, totems, wooden panelling), which would enable the future exhibits to go on display.
From 9 June, the new site's scheduled opening date, it will be hosting the first major heritage exhibition entitled Gabrielle de Rochechouart and Madame de Montespan. From Versailles to Fontevraud, being a woman in the 17th century.
