Up until 5 November 2017, the Maison du Parc is hosting two exhibitions where visitors can immerse themselves in a world transformed by climate change. The Pn’air travel agency and postcards are on hand for this trip into the future.
Travel the exhibition’s different universes and acquaint yourself with 5 unusual destinations in France and elsewhere to see what holidays in tomorrow’s world might well be like.
The out-of-the-ordinary experiences on offer include boarding a cargo sailing ship bound for Senegal, taking a break and wandering the streets of a lush green Paris, and cooling off in the Loire Valley’s troglodyte dwellings…
Created by the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park, the exhibition highlights possible evolutions due to climate change in our country and beyond. A rise in temperatures, mild winters, emergence of new species, and so on. Climate change is already happening!
Presented in the Maison du Parc’s gardens, this exhibition is made up of giant postcards. Through colour illustrations and personalised texts, it invites visitors to imagine life in 2070 in five municipalities in the Park’s territory: Azay-le-Rideau, Chinon, Huismes, Loire-Authion and Saumur.
To create the postcards, the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park organised participatory workshops with local inhabitants. With an aerial view to guide them and a little help from scientific input, they shared their ideas, wishes and fears, which were turned into images by graphic artist Marjolaine Châtaignier.
