Call for candidacies: Artist’s residency at “La Colombière”

The call for candidacies is addressed exclusively to students completing a Master’s degree at schools of art, landscaping or architecture in the Loire Valley. Any and all forms of artistic expression and disciplines are acceptable. 

The residency will take place at “La Colombière”, a property bequeathed to the French Institute that was the sculptor Gustave Pimienta’s residence and workplace for some thirty years, up until 1982. 

It is located on the banks of the Loire in the municipality of Chênehutte-Trêves-Cunault within the bounds of the Loire Valley World Heritage site, the idea being to match the residency’s theme with the reason for which the Loire Valley was inscribed on the World Heritage List – i.e. as a cultural landscape. 

Calendar:

• Deadline for reception of candidacies: 12 June 2015
• Meeting of selection jury: late June, with final decision announced to candidates in early July 2015
• Tentative dates: 4 August to 13 September 2015
