Along the river Cisse

This book is a tribute to the Cisse. It traces the development of its facilities over the centuries: mills, washhouses, bridges, fishponds, etc.

As you go down the Cisse, you will discover the villages it runs through, from Petite Beauce (in Loir-et-Cher) to Vouvray (in Indre-et-Loire).  

Photographs, old postcards, watercolours, poems, documents and anecdotes illustrate the beauty of its landscapes and tell you about the daily life of its residents, millers and washerwomen.
