VINIFLORE 2011 will be held on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November at the Edgard Pisani wine school (Montreuil-Bellay) and around 2,000 visitors are expected. Wines from different agricultural colleges, not just from every wine growing region of France, but also from some European wine growing regions, are offered for tasting and sale by students studying wine growing, making and tasting at the school.
Every year since 1998, new foreign partners have been introduced in order to develop, amongst other things, an educational approach to European citizenship. These commercial partnerships are often closely linked to educational partnerships i.e. setting up European projects (e.g.: Comenius, instituted by the E.Pisani school in February 2011 with Portuguese and Bulgarian partners), school trips, hosting foreign students and/or classes, foreign work placements for our students etc. This year, VINIFLORE will welcome wine growers belonging to VITOUR, the network of European World Heritage wine growers, here to attend Eurogusto in Tours.
During the event, students following other courses at our school (landscape and personal and community service students) will be present and will take part in demonstrations, for example, garden design. Other non-wine products and products from agricultural colleges throughout France will also be showcased and on sale: oysters, cooked meats, foie gras etc
