The Regional Natural Park's action in terms of architecture and town planning

A year after the Loire Passive House Competition, the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park (PNR) is continuing to make architectural and urban choices that show consideration for the identity and heritage of the Loire. It supports municipalities in the local town planning (PLU) development guidelines and in the heat renovation of buildings, and gives advice on ecoconstruction and vernacular heritage restoration projects.

The latest projects include: 

  • Publication of seven booklets presenting the best projects of the Loire Passive House Competition.
  • Ongoing preparation of a thermal guide for buildings in tuffeau stone written for construction owners (local councillors and inhabitants), main contractors and craftsmen.
  • Production of a teaching kit for helping local councillors and inhabitants to design the main outlines of their urban project themselves.
