Renovation of Port de la Creusille in Blois

The municipality of Blois is committed to redevelop the banks of the Loire so that the people of Blois can reclaim them. Work will begin in 2009 around Port de la Creusille, a vast landscaped area on the south bank of the Loire, between the Charles de Gaulle and Jacques Gabriel bridges.
The first phase will focus on
improving services to the site (water, electricity,
sanitation, etc.) but a second phase is planned, involving for
example
the creation of pontoons to provide access for boats and the
development of river tourism.
The site should play host to its
first public events next summer.
The provisional cost for the
development work is €250,000. A call for funding in the
framework of the parliamentary scrutiny reservation has been
published for this restructuring project.
