On 6 November 2014, 430 secondary-school pupils and students from the Tours urban area took over La Gloriette plain with the aim of cleaning up the banks of the Cher and Petit-Cher and planting young trees and bushes. Result: 2.5 dumpsters of garbage collected and 3000 trees planted along with 150 extra young shoots.
Since its creation, Operation PLAN’ET has led to the planting of over 13,000 trees and bushes and collection of almost 100 tonnes of garbage. It forms part of Tour(s)plus’ initiative to preserve the green and blue corridor in the context of the territorial climate plan.
