On 15, 16 and 17 September 2011, Tours and Saint-Pierre-des-Corps were taken over by"La Ville à l'Etat Gazeux" ( the City in a Gaseous State), an altogether out-of-the-ordinary rendezvous combining scientific proposition with artistic experiment, and bearing the “World Heritage site Val de Loire” label. It is organised by the pOlau – pôle des arts urbains – , a centre for research into and experimentation on arts and the city based in Saint-Pierre des Corps.
Including:
Personalised walks with 6 personalities from the Touraine area
An out-of-the-ordinary exploration of the Loire, the city and floods with the “Folie Kilomètre” collective.
Morning lectures on the sensitive city – open to all:
A great debate, “Tomorrow the city” , setting political visions up against artistic visions, with:
Three days for experiencing the city with head and legs alike.
Three days for speaking of the city as it is today in a flexible and stimulating way.
Obligatory for some activities (including walks, lectures, debate, and Folie Kilomètre’s “jour inondable”)
