At the end of October, the 1 o'clock News on the French TV channel France 2 devoted its special feature to the Domaine national de Chambord, while the Voyage channel broadcast a documentary by Laurent Charbonnier: "Les gens de Chambord" (The people of Chambord).
The five "Au plaisir du Roi" (For the King's pleasure) reports shown on France 2 delve into much of the activities that go on at Chambord: the cultural programme, refurnishing, forest activity, tours of the Château and forest, etc.
The documentary "Les gens de Chambord" sets out to meet just some of the 130 committed staff responsible for making this site such an outstanding place to visit. Thanks to them, we are given an insight into the various activities that are necessary for the Domaine to tick along, from welcoming visitors to managing the heritage of this world-unique site.
Next documentary on 9 November.
