Participatory funding is becoming more and more popular as a tool to support associative and cultural organisations' projects. Three recent projects of this ilk are the Maison de Loire du Loir-du-Cher, the Royal Fortress of Chinon and the Nanoprod association.
After 306,000 km of good and loyal service, the Maison de Loire du Loir-et-Cher's "Ford Galaxy" gave up the ghost. A vehicle is vital for events at schools, summer camps and general public outings so the association wants to buy a second-hand vehicle adapted to its Education about the environment missions.

The Royal Fortress of Chinon is
under siege
in 2017. From April to November, visitors will be able to discover full-scale war machines, an attackers' camp and 15th-century canons.
The Fortress wants to be able to keep one of these machines, a 1/3 scale model which has been hired for the occasion: an educational trebuchet which can be used by children... and adults!

The Nanoprod association's eco-habitat for artists can be moved and is an amphibian construction in the shape of a tern egg which receives artists in a completely independent way (to create, work, eat, sleep, wash, etc.). These artists take part in the life of the artistic " hut " on the banks of the River Loire during the summer and in the life of the C CIRA - Independent Artistic Research Centre on an island in the Loire, all year round.
