Call for donations for the Angers Cathedral’s tapestries

The Pays de la Loire Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs has launched its first participatory sponsorship campaign, running from 20 June to 18 September 2017, with a view to restoring and promoting Angers Cathedral’s priceless collection of tapestries.
The collection comprises some hundred tapestries dating from the 15th to the 18th century, and is regarded as the greatest cathedral treasure of its kind in Europe. The sponsorship operation should enable the public to reacquaint itself with a collection of major patrimonial interest, whose restoration would be impossible without the generosity of companies and private individuals alike.
