Boubé’s totems at the museum

Mission Val de Loire has just entrusted the Musée of Africa in Crotelles (37) with 2 totems created by the Nigerian sculptor Boubacar Djibo, better known as “Boubé”. It acquired the works on the occasion of the 2007 Remontée du Sel (Taking the Salt Upriver), which paid tribute to the River Niger.
The totems were on display to the public on the weekends of 28-29 May and 4-5 June 2016 on the occasion of the “Vallée du Madelon en Art” exhibition.
