A Resources portal for 2016

With approval of the Management Plan (2012) and drafting of an initial action programme (2013), collating produced and acquired knowledge regarding the territory, its heritage values, and the dynamics of its institutional, professional and community actors has become an imperative to which setup of a Resources portal seeks to respond. Started upon in 2015, its co-design has involved a range of territorial actors overseen by Mission Val de Loire; the portal will be online in 2016.

The Resources portal will be fully integrated into the valdeloire.org website, interacting with content on the Loire Valley territory structured around meetings and networks of actors already set up by Mission Val de Loire. 

It is designed as a tool for use by territorial actors:  

  • A tool for knowledge → facilitating mediation and interpretation of the territory
  • A tool for governance → accompanying action across the territory
  • A tool for work → accompanying day-to-day missions and practices

ensure national and international promotion of the territory and its knowhow 

The digital tool will be collating such resources as:  

  • annuaire des acteurs
  • experiences
  • methodological and regulatory tools
  • financing
  • data
  • communication
  • educational offers
  • travelling exhibitions
  • bibliographies

Content will be augmented progressively in line with annual action programmes and focuses on crosscutting themes bearing on Mission Val de Loire’s activities. Mission Val de Loire partners will soon be asked to reference their resources so they can be put to best use.  

In order to ensure its relevance and feasibility, it will adopt a strategy: 

  • of added value, through targeted selection of “essential” resources (rather than seeking an unachievable exhaustiveness)
  • of complementarity, through referencing that redirects users to existing actors and setups (rather than amassing quickly outdated data)
  • of operational capability, through adaptation to new uses of digital technology (internet consultation via smartphones and tablets)
