5th Loire-Bretagne water awards

They will reward exemplary initiatives undertaken between 2006 and 2008 by local authorities, industry, farm businesses or charities, in the fields of:

- the coherent management of purification in a rural or urban environment; - water management in industry;

- the mitigation of diffuse agricultural pollution and protection of water resources;

- saving water;

- the management of watercourses and natural aquatic environments;

- innovative awareness-raising and partnership initiatives relating to water and aquatic environments.

Candidacies must be registered with the water authority by 16 March 2009 and the awards ceremony will be held on 8 October 2009 in Orléans.
