Promoted by the Azay-le-Rideau Youth Club’s Photography club in partnership with the PETRI associative union, this work – like volume 1 (2004) – is published by Editions Sutton.
It is the result of the collecting, selecting and writing carried out by Photography Club leader Jean Carrique and Serge Brosseau, President of the Rouissons d’Bréhémont, with the participation of the inhabitants of the Community of Communes, who brought the work to life with their eye-witness accounts, anecdotes and personal documents.
Also in the same series: “Les bords de Loire et du Loiret. Orléans et Olivet / by Aimée Bariset and Cédric Gourin (November 2010, 128 pages, 19.90 €)
The work is arranged around six topics:
- life in Pays d’Azay-le-Rideau in the early 20th century,
- rural life in villages,
- life in market towns and hamlets,
- lordly life in the manor houses,
- trades and businesses in action,
- festivals and events.
September 2010, 128 pages, 21 euros.
