Garden architecture in the Loire Valley

The garden is a space reserved for plants and flowers, yet, from the Renaissance period through to today, it hasn't overlooked architecture. Landscape gardeners, much like their clients, have strewn their parks with caves, pergolas, follies, fountains and orangeries. All of these places are designed for the pleasure of walkers, garden maintenance or to supply the household with provisions. The Heritage and Inventory Department is unveiling these, sometimes hidden, places through 40 photos of parks and gardens in Loiret, Loir-et-Cher and Indre-et-Loire.
