UFO competition in Chinon

The City of Chinon is organising a UFO race as part of the Rivercraft Festival to be held on 27 May 2012. Prospective participants are invited to create an original, personalised “Unidentified Floating Object” to take part in a race on a section of the Vienne.

Useful to know

“Mostly built of salvaged materials, a UFO often sports a great many useless and therefore necessary decorations. And even though (as their name implies) UFOs are supposed to float, budding engineers don’t always have the same idea of what floatability means.” 

Submission of entries until 20 April 2012.
