Following the initiative of the Centre-Val de Loire Culture Directorate and Regional Tourism Board, managers of the main public contemporary creation venues in the region have committed to a pooled tourism marketing approach. A commitment charter is currently being drafted and is due to be adopted this autumn; this will serve as the basis for implementing a joint action plan drawing on the definition of joint objectives and values.
10 sites are committed to the approach:
- Centre de création contemporaine, Tours
- FRAC Centre, Orléans
- Les Tanneries, Amilly
- Domaine Régional de Chaumont-sur-Loire
- Abbaye de Noirlac – Centre culturel de rencontre
- Fondation du Doute, Blois
- Château du Rivau, Lémeré
- Association Emmetrop, Bourges
- l’Artsenal, Dreux
- Association Céramique de La Borne.
Contemporary art is one of the sectors to have been given precedence in the marketing plan of the Regional Sustainable Tourism Strategy (2012 – 2015).
