Tourism and disability: calendar of special tours

Indre-et-Loire: tours in French Sign Language 

The Indre-et-Loire County Council is putting on a cycle of tours in French Sign Language throughout 2012. Guided by mediators who work for the museums, these tours will be interpreted simultaneously by Elisabeth Révérand, Cécile Hérisson or Aude Makowski, who are qualified interpreters. 

Calendar: 

• At the Royal City of Loches: Saturday 18 February from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. 
• At the Grand-Pressigny Museum of Prehistory: Saturday 14 April from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• At Château de Candé in Monts: Saturday 19 May from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• At the Demeure de Ronsard: Saturday 7 July from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• At the Royal Fortress of Chinon: Saturday 29 September from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Musée de la marine de Loire and National "Tourism and Disability" Days   

Special guided tours for the blind and visually impaired will go into the theme of the Loire riverscape along the visit itinerary with explanations from a guide and the possibility to touch some artefacts. 

Saturday 31 March and Sunday 1 April 2012 

Guided tour for the blind at 3 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. 

Free admission.
