The Vitour network, which brings together the European World Heritage vineyards, meets in Tours from 15 May to 17 May 2008 for Vitiloire, the Loire Valley wine fair.

François Bonneau, President of the Centre regional authority and of Mission Val de Loire, Daniel Dupuis, member of the Pays de la Loire regional authority, and Patrice Laurendeau, President of the Vins de Loire inter-branch organisation (InterLoire) will sign the " International World Heritage Vineyards Declaration" for the Loire Valley, alongside the elected representatives of the other partner vineyards. Jean Germain, Mayor of Tours, the city which is organising Vitiloire, will officially welcome the partners.

The general public will be given the opportunity to explore European World Heritage vineyards at an exhibition of 25 photographs of the most attractive wine-producing landscapes in Europe to be held in the garden of the Préfecture from 15 May, and at a public presentation held by representatives of the vineyards on Friday 16 May at 4.30pm in the Anatole France room of the Hôtel de Ville in Tours.

During their stay in the Loire Valley, the partners will confirm the strategic directions for the next European funding request dossier (Interreg IV C) in order to pursue their cooperation objectives: preserving and building on European winemaking culture with the help of the exceptional landscapes in which it is rooted.

Finally, partners will use field visits to view actions undertaken in the Loire Valley in the areas of landscape management and heritage mediation: the Maison du Parc naturel régional Loire Anjou Touraine ( Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park Centre) in Montsoreau, the Montlouis territorial development project (Protected Agricultural Zone, the heritage village of Husseau), a visit to troglodyte caves and to the château in Amboise.
