This new biscuit was created by Chalonnes pastry chef Benoit Cornuault for the Association des Chalandoux du 5e Vent, which has launched the product to promote Chalonnes’ identity. The official launch took place on the occasion of a “Ligerian Christmas” organised by the association on Saturday 14 December at the gabarot boatbuilding yard.
The initiative is reminiscent of the creation of “Blanc de sable”, a delicacy launched in the spring of 2013 on behalf of the Loire-Authion Valley community of municipalities.
