The exhibition

A tactile screen gives users free rein in deciding how they go about approaching the heritage content and cultural values taken into account in the decision to inscribe the Loire Valley on the World Heritage List in November 2000. 

The menu offers visitors a choice of five options: 

• Three theme-based sections presenting the Loire Valley as the result of a gradual and constant process of construction as a cultural landscape:
  • “In the beginning a river”
  • “One route through many environments”
  • “Heritages and cultures”.
• Two sections providing contents that operate as reminders or approaches:
  • “A journey back in time”
  • “World Heritage”.
