The European project VITOUR LANDSCAPE (2010-2012), led by the network of European world heritage vineyards, concluded with the publication of a European guide for protecting and promoting wine-making cultural landscapes and a report on best practice transfers.
The VITOUR LANDSCAPE (2010-2012) project brought together 10 European vineyards listed as a world heritage.
At the end of this project, the partners have published:
A special press pack was also published in the Spring 2013 issue no.5 of Le Vin Ligérien magazine to report on the best practices identified during the project, giving concrete examples.
On Saturday 25th May from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. at the Vinci Conference Centre in Tours, the Mission Val de Loire will be organising a conference-debate during the “Vitiloire” wine festival, given by Jean-Claude Bonnaud, Director of "Le Vin Ligérien", and Myriam Laidet, Mission Val de Loire:
Protecting wine-making landscapes: Feedback from Vitour, the network of European world heritage vineyards
The debate will be followedby the VITOUR Award being given to Montlouis-sur-Loire and the Montlouis AOC for the creation of the Protected Farming Zone (ZAP in French) in the town.
