O’Fish parade: contemporary art at the Festival de Loire

This operation will help to raise the public’s awareness of contemporary creation. It has been organised by the Liger Club d’Orléans, an association which works on highlighting the assets of the Loire and its heritage and which is funded by the City of Orléans.
Visual artists will have to create original works from a 1m 50
long glass fibre fish given to them by the organisers. The
results will then be put on display to the general public at the
next Festival de Loire in Orléans, from 23 to 27 September
2009.
At this event, funded by the City of Orléans, patrons will be able to buy the works of art and private or public sponsors will be able to support the project...
Patrons and sponsors will be able to use the communication media on show during the event.
Lastly, a "fish auction" will be organised in October 2009. The works that have not been bought by patrons will be auctioned off for charity.
