Boutavant, the Touraine rivercraft association, has a range of discovery excursions aboard its traditional boats on offer, designed to acquaint passengers with the river, its fauna and flora, and its architectural heritage. From June to September 2012, in addition to the tour downstream of Pont Wilson, it is organising a new 50-minute tour from Château de Tours to Marmoutier Abbey. In August and September, it is also running theme-based excursions on the Loire with specialists aboard.
