Multi-function Screen previewed at Fontevraud

Designed by a multidisciplinary Research & Development team, the Multi-function Screen is being funded by the Pays de la Loire Region. Presented in Paris in January at the SIME SITEM exhibition, and then at the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine, the Screen will be tested for the very first time at Fontevraud Abbey from the spring.

 

This concept of an interactive touch screen means that several people can share, discuss and consult documents, images and videos at the same time on a sort of giant computer screen.
 

The content of this amazing mediation tool focuses on the prison period. Alone, with family or friends, you will be able to see reconstructions of the daily life of prisoners, virtually wander along penitentiary paths… all the while exchanging sound, 3D images and videos.

The creation of the Multi-function Screen has involved the multimedia design agency Mazedia, Ecole des Mines de Nantes, Boscher, a company specialising in signs and furniture, the designer Laurent Vié and Fontevraud Abbey.
