The autumn is always busy with national and international events alike, and the Mission Val de Loire team is in demand to come and talk about what initiatives are under way in the Loire Valley World Heritage. An overview of Mission Val de Loire’s presentations this autumn.
3 October 2013, Oignies (North France)
Rémi Deleplancque, Education and Culture Officer, took part in two round table sessions at these meetings on the topic " Turn heritage and landscape into tools for a region that keeps up with the times . How can history be taken on board by transforming it?”
23 to 25 October, Paris and Loire Valley: Sigloy, Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, Tours
Mission Val de Loire hosted this Vocational Bachelor’s degree for a CNAM lecturer-guide . Isabelle Longuet, Director, presented the UNESCO inscription and site governance. Rémi Deleplancque, Education and Culture Officer, spoke about the challenges of tourism and mediation.
29 to 31 October, Baku (Azerbaijan)
Isabelle Longuet, a member of ICOMOS, took part in this workshop organised by UNESCO as part of the second cycle of the Periodic Reporting exercise regarding the State Parties to the World Heritage Convention.
5 to 6 November, Maisons-Laffitte (Parisian region)
Myriam Laidet, Sustainable Development Officer, shared the Loire Valley’s experience during this initial seminar-workshop for managers of protected spaces with respect to culture, nature and landscapes on the topic " What limits for heritage spaces? ".
7 to 10 November, Paris
Along with Bernard Valette, Vice-President of Agglopolys, Myriam Laidet, Sustainable Development Officer, gave a presentation at the conference entitled “Heritage as a driving force for development in urban and rural territories” of this show , on the inclusion of the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) in the public space development projects under way in the city of Blois.
9 December 2013, Dijon
These meetings will look at the topic " T ourism and World Heritage: keys for sustainable success ".
Rémi Deleplancque, Education and Culture Officer, will be taking part in the round table session “How can tourist development be combined with inscription as a World Heritage?”.
Myriam Laidet, Sustainable Development Officer, will be talking about the network of European World Heritage Vineyards (Vitour), with Emmanuel Estoppey, Director of Lavaux World Heritage (Switzerland).
18 November, Breil sur Roya (South-East France)
The Mercantour National Park in France and Maritime Alps Natural Park in Italy are initiating this public application launch for the "Maritime – Mercantour Cross-Border Area: The Alps of the Sea". Francis Vautier, Communications and Network Facilitation Officer, will be taking part in the round table session “What communication methods for developing strong adoption by the territory?”
28 to 29 November, Tours-Chinon
Isabelle Longuet, Director, will be speaking at these 9th meetings organised by the National Association of Towns and Regions of Art and History and Towns with Safeguarded and Protected Sectors and the Directorate-General of Heritage under the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
