Michel Sapin officially launches the European Cycle Route project in Brussels

From Nantes to Budapest, the European Cycle Route (“Eurovéloroute”) will run alongside the Loire (following the route of the "Loire à vélo" - "Loire by bike" - which is 60% funded by the Centre region), the Rhine and the Danube. It will cross through France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary over a distance of 1440 miles and in the end will extend as far as Romania on the edge of the Black Sea, following the course of the Danube to its mouth.
