Shipping on the Loire
Mr Bacchi, Doctor of Biology, associate lecturer at the
University of Tours and secretary of the "Boutavent" association,
will describe the changes in the use of shipping and the landscapes
of the Loire.

Building a 'futreau'
Boat builder Mr Pronobis will describe the stages of building
this traditional style of boat once seen on the Loire and Cher. His
presentation will be illustrated by photos taken during the
building of the type of small sailing barge known as a 'futreau' in
Véretz and will include a display of models.
