The CUMUSI project seeks to design and build a prototype and two models of the Cubiculum musicae ("Chamber of music"), facilities enabling the audiovisual recreation of historical musical performances.

It is intended for cultural and heritage institutions looking to give their visitors an innovative insight into the history of their sites. This initiative takes the form of an enclosed space that can accommodate a dozen spectators for discovering a recreated historical site virtually and musically.

The partners involved are

  • CESR (coordination, technical and scientific design)
  • MSH Val de Loire
  • the company Catposys
  • Doulce Mémoire
  • Château de Blois
  • Château de Chaumont
  • Mission Val de Loire
  • the Centre Region

This project has been selected in the call for research proposals 2012 of the Centre Regional Council.
