The Centre Regional Council is conducting a scientific inventory in 2010 of reconstructed buildings in 12 Loire towns bombed by the Germans and Allies during World War II.
This programme is set to last five years and will give rise to
a progress report in each town selected. The inventory will begin
in Blois, before moving on to Tours and Saint-Pierre-des-Corps,
Amboise, Beaugency, Meung-sur-Loire, Jargeau and Saint
Denis-de-l'Hôtel, Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, Sully-sur-Loire,
Saint-Père-sur-Loire and Gien.
An agreement has been signed between the Centre region and
Blois to guarantee the very best research conditions in the
archives and in the field (2010-2011) and the promotion of this
work (2012-2013).
