Held on 29 November 2011, the Loire Valley World Heritage territorial conference approved the management plan drawn up at UNESCO's request by State government departments, with the participation of the Mission Val de Loire. It takes account of the opinions of local authorities, voiced during the initial discussions in 2010, and these must now commit to putting this management plan into practice. To this end, four information and exchange days have been organised, one per département (county), for all the local authorities who are responsible for overseeing projects associated with the UNESCO site.
Addressing local councillors and regional stakeholders, these days aim to help them to get to grips with the Management Plan and to provide the tools and methods for a compatible territorial development with the Outstanding Universal Value (O.U.V.) of the site, which has been recognised by the UNESCO listing.
