During deliberations on 18 October 2013, the Châteauneuf-sur-Loire municipal council approved the general revision of the Land Use Plan, corresponding to preparation of the Local Urban Development Plan (PLU), and the modified protection scopes of historical monuments. At the municipality’s request, Mission Val de Loire assisted the engineering firm, authorised by the local authority, with identifying the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) associated with the Loire Valley World Heritage inscription that needs taking on board in the PLU.
The findings of this study, validated by the State, do not replace the regulatory notice, but provide food for thought about how to factor in the OUV and guidelines of the listed site management plan in the urban development documents.
Mission Val de Loire acts in its capacity as advisor to the site’s local authorities, pursuant to the UNESCO site management plan approved by the Centre Region Prefect on 15 November 2012.
The notice drawn up concerns:
By decree dated 20 September 2013, the Mayor of Amboise has ordered the public inquiries open on the drafting plan for the Local Urban Development Plan (PLU) and Rainwater Drainage Plan. The inquiries will be held at the town hall for 33 days from 21 October to 22 November 2013.
After nine years of discussions and brainstorming, a Territorial Coherency Plan (SCOT) has been drawn up for the Greater Saumur area.
Six public meetings were organised in the district towns in October, and an exhibition is on display through October and November.
