To mark the “1515-2015 – Francis I, the Renaissance in the Loire Valley” cultural season, Doulce Mémoire, an ensemble specialising in ancient music that has been active in Tours for over 25 years, has just brought out a book/CD providing a real feast of music composed for a king – Francis I, the patron prince who well understood how much music could serve his policy of prestige.
