On 17 February 2010, the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park organised a day for their “Ambassadeurs” to get to know each other and discover a part of the region.
Numbering just 50 members when the "Ambassadeurs du Parc"
network was created in 2003, there were a full 150 Ambassadeurs in
2009, each of them graduates of an obligatory 3-day (+ one optional
day) training course.
On the programme:
- Presentation of the Bourgueil region by the Tourist Office
and the Community of Communes
- Illustrated lecture by local historian Martine
Hubert-Pellier, "Bourgueil's Architectural Heritage"
- Visit to Château de Gizeux, with its owner
Stéphanie de LAFFON
- Visit to the Domaine du Mortier, an organic winegrowing
estate at Saint Nicolas, and to the Domaine de la Chevalerie at
Restigné, a winegrowing estate practising organic and
biodynamic farming
- Visit to the Restigné winegrowing effluent processing
station, commentated by Michel DELANOUE, President of the CUMA
BEL
- Awarding of Ambassadeur diplomas and jackets
- Evening buffet in the cellars, around an open fire, with live
music from the "Z'Aminches" group
