Pupils at La Rabière secondary school (Joué-lès-Tours) are continuing to learn more about heritage in a Comenius European project. In particular, they have created a "Comenius Corner" at their school where everyone can go to find out about the heritage of European partners.
Several pupils are also acting as ambassadors of the Loire Valley during activity weeks with each of the partners: in Italy in March and Spain in May.
Sarah, Soumia and Mohamed thus got to go to the World Heritage Site of Alberobello, which is distinct in that it is home to trulli – stone huts with conical roofs that are covered with calcite flagstones gathered from neighbouring fields or extracted when digging out the water tanks adjoining each new trullo.
