To better adapt your ecological or landscape projects to local and regional environmental conditions, the National Botanical Conservatory of the Paris Basin (CBNBP) has created "Instructions for choosing trees and bushes for ecological and landscape vegetation in the Centre region".
The goal is to limit the introduction of exotic species which proliferate to the detriment of local species, which grow sporadically. These invasive plants invade environments and can have ecological, economic and health consequences. Moreover, mass use of Thuja, for example, contributes to the standardisation of hedges.
To choose to plant a local variety is to give the landscape back its regional identity and thus fight against the banalisation of environments.
