How two children, Chloé and Lucas, both of them with a penchant for technology and adventure, get to acquaint themselves with the Loire Valley’s rich heritage aboard Leonardo da Vinci’s ingenious flying machine! Christian Verdun’s book for children has been awarded the “Loire Valley World Heritage Site” label.
As if living a dream, Chloé and Lucas travel back in time, encountering many of the historical characters who built or lived in the Loire châteaux over the course of the centuries (including Diane of Poitiers, Catherine de’ Medici, Gabrielle d’Estrées, Gilles Berthelot, Philippa Lesbahy, Charles VII, Joan of Arc, René of Anjou, Jean le Breton, Charles of Orleans and Francis I). An opportunity for young readers to follow in the footsteps of our two adventurers and visit the Loire’s magnificent châteaux, listed as UNESCO World Heritage under the Loire Valley inscription since 2000.
A great tale complemented by factual historical insets. Itsauthor, reporter and illustrator Christian Verdun, himself undertook the fabulous adventure he recounts!
