The Centre-Val de Loire Region was present in force at the Viva Technology fair, held in Paris from 15 to 17 June 2017, with a network of startups and researchers specialising in digital technology applied to promotion of heritage and tourism, and major heritage sites committed to development of the digital tools of tomorrow’s world.
The Centre-Val de Loire Region’s space at VivaTech hosted the following startups and technologies:
On 15 June 2017, François Bonneau announced the launch of a work programme with highpoints and major projects, to be carried out up until 2020 in the Loire Valley and in collaboration with Italy. He also announced and presented the support to be lent to the initiative by Stéphane Bern, who will be acting as an ambassador for the 500th anniversary of the Renaissance in Centre-Val de Loire.
2019 will mark the 500th anniversary of the laying of the first stone of the Royal Château of Chambord, Leonardo da Vinci’s death at Château du Clos Lucé in Amboise and the birth of Catherine de’ Medici.
At the end of May, François Bonneau led a delegation to Rome made up of representatives of major cultural and heritage sites, with a view to promoting the Centre-Val de Loire Region and the riches, culture, assets, heritage and creativity that have shaped its identity and attractiveness.
