Architecture, parks and landscapes : training and support

Several organisations in the Valley of the Loire can train and give advice to both private people and professionals.

Two organisations, the CAUE and the ADUC , work with the Loire Anjou Touraine regional natural park to inform people and local authorities (1200 were given advice in ten years) on the technical, administrative and financial aspects of architecture and heritage restoration. Free drop-in advice is available for all construction, extension or restoration projects.

In its cultural programme, the Centre for Architecture, Land and Landscapes in Angers proposes:

- workshops on urban development, encounters with contractors, developers and creators

- ecologically-friendly building conferences, organised by the association Alisée, with the support of the CAUE and UNSFA

The Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire, a reference in parks, the environment, urbanism and landscapes, proposes short and long training courses:

- 26 short courses on parks in 2008

- 7 professional courses for local authorities and businesses

- A long course « Les nouvelles orientations paysagères » - New developments in landscaping - (18 days over 6 months, 3 days per month).

The Centre Region Parks and Gardens Association (APJRC) offers a number of training courses. Before the end of 2008, one will be devoted to a "Management plan: components, roles, objectives", and one programme will focus on the "composition of a garden".
