2016 competition of the International Garden Festival

Spanning an array of disciplines and central to our key concerns for the future, the garden today is an extraordinary setting for thought, innovation and experimentation. 

Permaculture, transgenesis, biological control, aquaponics, hydroponics, green chemistry, phytoremediation, synergistic vegetable gardens ... these are all facets of this unbelievable adventure of living organisms, in which experimentation, prospection and discovery combine tradition, ecology and technological progress – without overlooking the humanist dimension or poetic imagination for all that. 

The 2016 Festival will therefore feature gardens that are open to the great issues of our day.
