For its fifth session, the University summer school is introducing a new format by offering a travelling event organised from the 26 to the 30 September, and including a one day field trip.
The University of Tours in collaboration with the Val de Loire
Mission and the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, is organising a five

de Loire World Heritage summer schools organised in
2002 in Chinon, in 2002 in Tours, in 2003 in Saumur and in 2004 in
Orléans.
This fifth meeting will tackle the follow
subjects:

- What public institutions are needed to manage these vast and
fragile spaces?
- Relationships with the river : practices, perceptions and
imaginary

with rivers

lInstitut
international fleuves et patrimoine, the International Rivers

This new body for training and expertise is in effect tasked
to coordinate the competences developed in the Val de Loire in
matters of managing the heritage of river corridors in order to
make this knowledge and know-how available for everyone at a
national and international level.
