SPRECOMAH Seminar in the Loire Valley

The second SPRECOMAH seminar on preventative conservation and the monitoring and assessment of architectural heritage is being held in the Loire Valley from 26 to 30 May 2008. More than 50 academics, researchers and professionals are expected from all over Europe, but also from the United States, Jordan and Israel.
The research presentation sessions are devoted to:
- Heritage and flooding, and other natural disasters
- Preventing damage to materials in heritage structures
- Preventative actions with reference to the interaction
between the environment and architectural heritage
- Comparative study of preventative architectural conservation
systems
There will also be practical sessions with demonstrations of
non-destructive tests (BAM) in Loire Valley sites.
