The 2nd Flood Prevention and Waterway Management Techniques Fair will be held from 9 to 11 October 2008 at the Parc des Expositions de Tours.
The PREVIRISQ Fair offers a forum
for exhibition and exchange between European partners, aimed
at:
-
prevention professionals,
who can present their activities,
services and innovative products;
-
local authorities, managers and
researchers
, who can assess new techniques and
discuss strategic issues relating to this major natural
risk;
-
the general public
, who can discover products suited to
individual situations and take part in discussions on public flood
prevention and waterway management policies.
This fair will feature two events
organises in the framework of the Plan Loire Grandeur Nature, (a
development programme marrying individual security, environmental
protection and economic development):

Conference
on "Reducing the flood vulnerability
of economic activities: an imperative for regional
competitiveness"
10 October 2008
:
2
nd annual meeting between the scientific community
and
Loire
managers
on the theme of: "Reducing regional
vulnerability (flooding, drought, spaces)".
