The publication of the CAUE de Maine-et-Loire, IMAGO, has published a new issue dedicated to the work of this architect who has left a huge mark on contemporary architectural culture, particularly in Anjou. There was also an exhibition on him from 2 April to 6 June 2014.
The focus is not specifically put on his work as chief architect of historical monuments (in Maine-et-Loire from 1974 to 1992) and the many constructions that he has supervised here in this capacity. Based on different projects selected as an illustration, the author, Dominique Amouroux, shows how much architecture can incorporate the issue of heritage into a creative process going beyond the object of the restoration with contemporary sources of inspiration as a reference.
