Partnership between Chambord and La Venaria Reale, Piedmont (Italy)

2015 has been marked by the National Estate of Chambord’s international development. On 19 September 2015, following the two twinning agreements signed with Pekin’s former Summer Palace (2014) and Udaipur’s City Palace (India) at the beginning of this year, Chambord signed a partnership convention with La Venaria Reale in Piedmont.

The two sites are set to undertake promotion of their cultural, educational and scientific activities in France and Italy, with a view to developing and increasing tourism. 

The twinning will also enable Chambord’s and La Venaria Reale’s teams to exchange viewpoints on: 

  • heritage management of estates including architectural and natural features
  • incorporation of contemporary artistic creation into heritage sites
  • support for development of tourism
