On Saturday 11 July 2015, Marc Gricourt, Mayor of Blois, Christophe Degruelle, President of Agglopolys and Yves Le Breton, Prefect of Loir-et-Cher, representing the French Ministry for Culture and Communication, signed a new Cultural Pact. The French State, through its Ministry for Culture and Communication, and the City of Blois and Agglopolys are committing to keeping up their respective funding in favour of culture until 2017, and to continuing their cooperation regarding this shared ambition.

This shared commitment will be shown over the next three years through the continuation of a cultural policy geared towards:

  • cultural institutions: centres devoted to creation, artistic dissemination, passing on heritage wealth, discovery and hands-on experiences, encounters between works, artists and the public.
  • building a formative cultural institution for the area which is a key stakeholder in keeping with a shared objective in favour of making culture accessible to people from all walks of life.
