During taste week, from 17 to 21 October 2011, the mass catering company Restoria, which has its headquarters near Angers, offered 3,000 of its guests from Anjou and Touraine the chance to discover, or rediscover, local specialities and traditional recipes. Thanks to its partnership with the Mission Val de Loire, the discovery of cultural heritage has served to enrich the discovery of culinary heritage, with exhibitions and leaflets on the Loire Valley World Heritage site.

Within the context of its objective of making sure that inhabitants make the most of the Loire Valley UNESCO listing, the Mission Val de Loire puts on exhibitions and provides other communications media (kakemonos, leaflets) free of charge.

The media used

The terminals for the interactive “Loire Valley cultural landscape” exhibition were on show in the MSA company restaurant in Angers, at the St Serge vocational upper secondary school in Angers, and in school canteens in Tiercé (49) and Connerré (72).

The “Long live the landscapes” exhibition was on show in the restaurant of the Ecole supérieure school of agriculture in Angers, the St Charles hostel in Angers and the Palais de justice law courts in Angers.

The “Loire Valley Unesco World Heritage” kakemonos appeared at the Doué la Fontaine AFPA, a government body promoting adult education, and at the Les Augustines hostel in Angers.

3,000 “Loire Valley World Heritage” leaflets were also distributed throughout the network of Restoria restaurants in the Pays de la Loire and in neighbouring departments.
